Radek Bonk’s son signs his first NHL contract

Former National Hockey League forward Radek Bonk can show his pride when his son Oliver signed a three-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday.

The 18-year-old defenseman, who was drafted 22nd in the first round of the last amateur draft, recorded 10 goals and 30 assists for 40 points in 67 games last season in the Ontario Junior League. He also took the opportunity to set personal bests on goals, assists and points, among other things, with the London Knights progressing to the final of the round.

Oliver Bonk also took part in the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and helped Canada to the gold medal.

His father is well known to hockey fans. He notably played two seasons with the Montreal Canadiens from 2005 to 2007.
