Britney Spears Is Taking A Break From Social Media 'for A While'

It may be a while before fans see new Instagram videos or pregnancy updates from Britney Spears. The pop star has announced that she is retiring from social media.

“I’m taking a social media break for a while!!!” Spears wrote on Instagram on Sunday (April 24).

“Sending my love and God bless you all,” she added.

Along with the news of her hiatus from social media, the pop star posted a goofy video of a baby lounging by a mini vanity, wearing a robe, sunglasses and curlers.

“Obviously I won’t go out that much because the dads get their money from me, which unfortunately they already have,” she noted at the time. She also spoke candidly about her past experiences with perinatal depression — “I have to say, it’s absolutely horrific… Women didn’t talk about it back then,” she wrote — and said she’d be doing yoga daily throughout this pregnancy.

Spears has two sons, 16-year-old Sean and 15-year-old Jaden, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The child on the way will be Asghari’s first.
