A teacher in Syracuse, New York, was brutally beaten by her mother outside her classroom, breaking her jaw.
According to local media reports Tuesday, Lynzina Sutton, 31, walked into Lincoln Middle School last Friday morning and went looking for a teacher. When she found her, she went into her classroom and punched her in the face.
The professor suffered serious injuries, including a broken nose, a broken jaw and a concussion.
“These are injuries that you don't even see in a boxing match, so they're pretty serious,” emphasized District Attorney William Fitzpatrick, quoted by the news site Syracuse.com.

School principal Anthony Davis said in a press conference with local media that the mother acted out of revenge. The day before, the girl had an altercation with school security after lying about her whereabouts and allegedly threatening to have her mother “take care of it.”
Lynzina Sutton actually showed up at school the next day accompanied by the teenager's grandmother. While the eldest of the duo was intercepted by security, the mother managed to break into the facility. Security mistook her for a student because she was only 5 feet 4 inches tall and was wearing a hoodie, Mr. Davis said.
The principal tried to intervene and calm the situation, according to the account of the incident summarized by Syracuse.com, but the mother was still able to leave the school after hitting the teacher.
The woman was arrested and charged a few hours after the attack and now has to stand trial.
