Alex Galchenyuk was kicked out by the Coyotes and appears to have actually made a mistake

The outcome had become predictable and it all happened on Friday afternoon: Striker Alex Galchenyuk was released by the Arizona Coyotes after the end of his contract.

Unsurprisingly, the former Montreal Canadiens went unnoticed with waivers, allowing the “Yotes” to terminate the agreement signed on July 1; The two teams had signed a two-part pact valued at $775,000 in the National Hockey League.

As some sources suggested the day before, the American has been committing some wrongdoing lately. The Athletic website reported that Galchenyuk was arrested by Scottsdale Police on July 9. After being briefly detained, he now faces charges of hit-and-run, disorderly conduct, disobedience, resisting arrest, threats and intimidation, according to the same source. Separately, journalist Craig Morgan said the National Hockey League Players Association is reviewing the case.

“We are well aware of this incident and strongly condemn this behavior. “As soon as the organization was informed of these allegations, we initiated the termination process,” the Arizona club said in a statement, without specifying its position.

The 2012 third-round draft pick would have had another pick in the Desert roster, having played for that roster in 2018-19 and 2021-22. Last year he played 11 National League games for the Colorado Avalanche and was kept in check.
