Former Attorney General Bill Bar writes in his new book that surveillance footage proves Jeffrey Epstein he committed suicide and was not killed because it shows that no one else entered his cell on the night of his death.
Bar was AG when Epstein committed suicide in prison in August 2019. He was tasked with investigating how Epstein managed to commit suicide while awaiting a sexual trafficking trial.
Conspiracy theorists speculate that Epstein was killed to prevent him from telling prosecutors about who else was involved in his group on child sexual trafficking, if anyone. His family lawyers also said the marks on his neck looked as if he had been strangled, not hung on a sheet.
Bar says he “personally” reviewed the surveillance footage and may conclude that Epstein was alone in the cell.
The New York medical examiner had performed an autopsy and ruled that Epstein had committed suicide by hanging.
“Other evidence also points to suicide, but this was the video evidence that confirmed the forensic doctor’s statement.
“I personally watched this video. This clearly shows that between the time Epstein was locked in his cell at 7:49 pm on the night of August 9 and the time he was discovered the next morning at 6:30 am, no one had entered his level. “, He writes in a book, One damn thing after another.
This is what Jeffrey Epstein’s cell looked like after he committed suicide on August 10, 2019.
Epstein’s lifeless body was shown after being taken out of the cell on August 10, 2019.
The camera footage has never been made public.
FOX News received an extended copy of the book and announced its contents on Thursday.
Instead of murder, Bar said the “perfect storm” of security failures at The Metropolitan Correctional Center led to his dismissal.
Gislane Maxwell is the only other person to have been arrested in connection with Epstein’s crimes.
Bar makes the revelation in his new memoir One damn thing after another
She was convicted of sex trafficking in New York in December and is currently awaiting sentencing.
She denies facilitating sexual trafficking and plans to appeal her sentence.
The two guards on duty had to check on Epstein every 30 minutes.
They told investigators that they had fallen asleep, watched television and simply forgotten their duties – something many conspiracy theorists did not believe.
Even President Donald Trump wondered if Epstein had indeed been killed to stop him from bringing pedophile friends.
Speaking to Maxwell in an interview with Axios, he said: “Her friend or boyfriend was either killed or committed suicide in prison.
“She’s in jail now.” Yes, I wish her success. I would like to wish you well. I wish many people well. Good luck. Let them prove someone guilty.
“Her boyfriend died in prison. And people are still trying to figure out how this happened.
“Was it suicide?” Was he killed? And I wish her well. I’m not looking for anything bad for her.
