Cauã Reymond wants to vacation with his daughter and says he is not a jealous father: “I want her to bring her boyfriend or girlfriend home

With the recording of “Terra e passion” completed and the final chapter of the soap opera set to air next Friday (19), Cauã Reymond is preparing to go on vacation with his 11yearold daughter Sofia, in a relationship with Grazi Massafera. As the teenager's father, the actor is not worried about the girl's current phase as many assume that it is a difficult phase in raising children.

— This is currently the phase in which I am closest to her. As she reaches puberty, our dialogue is now very clear. I feel like our conversations are becoming more mature and fun at the same time. We think that there is a distance in youth, but that didn't happen between us. “We will even go on vacation together in the next few days,” analyzes the actor.

Since he shares custody of the girl with Grazi, Cauã praises his ex when he talks about the upbringing that the actress imparts to Sofia, especially when it comes to issues related to the girl's age. Reaching prepuberty usually causes great anxiety in parents due to the discoveries made during this phase. However, things are different for the actor:

I'm not afraid. Sofia's generation is made up of kids who arrive with a point of view. She is also raised very well by Grazi. I think that with the new generation we are learning how the world has changed. There were things that have bothered me and that are changing, he says.

Having grown up around many women, Cauã recognizes that he has a refined female perspective. Nevertheless, he says, he has reconsidered some settings that no longer fit today.

— Anyone over 40 lived through the 90s, a time when things were very different. Someone said I was a jealous father, but I'm not. “I want my daughter to bring her boyfriend or girlfriend home and feel comfortable without thinking that her father is boring,” says Cauã, adding: “I think it's easier to raise a girl. “ I was raised by many women, so I carry a huge feminine universe within me. Many people ask me if I want to have a boy. I'm very open to it if it happens, but if I have a boy it will be a challenge.

The partnership between father and daughter is so great that they even help each other with their routines, such as venting their fears of eating. Cauã, a fan of sweets, says that Sofia asked him how often he eats out of greed.

— When we're scared, we sometimes eat more than we should. Then I said, “Let's start here at home to understand what is gluttony and what is hunger.” As time passed, she also started correcting me. I'm a fan of organic food, but sometimes I come home and want to eat something sweet. And several times they told me: “Dad, this is gluttony, stop eating and you eat dinner” he says.
