Christmas mood Stars in Via Milano, a cascade of lights in Via Vittorio Emanuele, a cone-shaped tree in Piazza Duomo: here is the first Christmas after Balocchi – but in Lecco the light projections return
Como turns on the Christmas lights and the break with the past and the Città dei Balocchi is evident. And the election alone divides the people of Como. Some of them did not fail to make a comparison on social networks with what has been achieved in Lecco, where projections on buildings take center stage again, the attraction that made Christmas in Como famous in recent years.

The question spontaneously arises: And you, which choice do you prefer? Como or Lecco?
Aside from the narrow-mindedness, one thing is certain: the pre-Christmas face of Como is undoubtedly very different from what we are used to. Starting with the Christmas tree.

Just as the atmosphere changes when the facades of the buildings in the old town are switched off (although there will be a light show in Piazza Duomo next weekend) and a “minimal” selection of light installations in the other streets of the city.

In the meantime, here are the next Christmas events in Como. Today from 3pm to 6pm at the Tempio Voltiano green initiatives for families as part of Green Energy. In the streets of the city it will be possible to meet little carolers, elves on bicycles, the Christmas town bands, the panpipes musicians Frega Musun and the juggling Santa Clauses. In Sant’Abbondio the exhibition “New images of Advent. Four works of contemporary art in four sacred places”.
