Currently issued under AppleTV+‘among strangers‘ recently caused a stir on social media for a scene deemed “daring”. Tom Holland is portrayed in a sex scene with another man, something the actor has never done before in his career.
The scene in question is part of Episode 8 entitled “Reunion” which was released on the platform yesterday (14).
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Holland shared his take on the scene, stressing that he doesn’t think it’s “edgy,” but rather an important part of the narrative that helps authentically tell his character’s story.
“It’s not a milestone. It’s not something I’m like, “Oh wow.” “I was able to play my first character with a different preference than I’ve previously played.” It’s obviously a bit more complex. It was really important to tell the story authentically,” Holland said.
Each season, the attraction focuses on stories about reallife cases of people with mental disorders.
