Although celebrated by many Brazilians, especially nostalgics, some national television programs simply end. This can have several reasons: lack of audience, funding and sponsorship or even dissatisfaction of the moderators or misunderstandings at the broadcaster.
An example of this was the departure of the great and famous Faustão, who left TV Globo after 34 years as a presenter. The wellknown and soughtafter artist was soon hired by Rede Bandeirantes in 2021. But it seems that not everything went as planned.

Last Thursday the 18th, Splash, a column for “UOL”, published the news that Fausto Corrêa da Silva himself, the famous Faustão, said he was leaving the current channel he works for, TV Band. The announcement came after just a year and a half with the company, which was his first major contractor.
His program ran from Monday to Friday evenings and was called “Faustão na Band”. Unfortunately, the legendary artist’s show was not well received by audiences, scoring between 2 and 3 rating points.
This circumstance caused dissatisfaction, especially with his debut, which took place on the same day as the premiere of his previous company’s “Big Brother Brasil 2022”.
reason for leaving
After meeting Band, Fausto Silva received a proposal to reduce his salary. Dissatisfied, according to Veja magazine, he decided to leave his program. However, there has been no comment from the TV station as the matter is being kept secret.
In order to make up for the missing moderator, the broadcaster wants to entrust Fausto João Guilherme Silva’s son and journalist Anne Lottermann with the management of the program until July.
How much does Faustão receive per month?
Surely you’re curious what the salary of the TV idol was. Well, it was never little, because for his old program “Domingão do Faustão” he already received a handsome sum.
According to Veja magazine, the communicator was paid around R$3 million per month in his current job. Very good value for a discount you don’t like, don’t you think?
