Hamas letter of October 7: “Some mistakes occurred” news

The radical Islamic group Hamas in a document classified its October 7 terrorist attack against Israel as a “necessary step” in the face of “all Israeli conspiracies against the Palestinian people”. At the same time, the terrorist organization admitted that “some mistakes may have been made” in the “chaos” on the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip.

From an observer's point of view, the first public statement about the terrorist attack is an obvious attempt to justify the attack that left 1,140 dead, which not only resulted in hostage taking and murder, but also in rape and sadistic acts of torture, including against children.

Netanyahu rejects conditions

The Hamas document does not reveal which of these acts the terrorist group later classifies as “errors”. However, against all evidence, the terrorist organization denied deliberately killing civilians.

In the 16-page document, the terrorist organization also calls for an “immediate end to Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip” and an end to “ethnic cleansing and crimes against the entire Palestinian people”. In the report, published in English and Arabic, Hamas also rejected all international and Israeli efforts to decide the future of the Gaza Strip after the war. Only the Palestinian people will decide on the future of the Palestinian territory.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he rejects Hamas' conditions for ending the war. To free the hostages, Hamas demands an end to the war, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip and the release of the murderers and rapists, Netanyahu said in a statement. “I openly reject the surrender terms of the Hamas monsters,” he said.
