In a single day, her video went viral on TikTok, racking up over 50,000 views. The caption, “When you’re out in the country and there’s no public transport,” leaves little doubt as to the nature of their tricks.
Especially since one of the protagonists starts brilliantly from the first seconds: “We’re lost in the middle of the country and now we’ll solve the problem.” They therefore contact the emergency services, to whom they assure that one of them has passed out due to sunstroke , and laugh about the situation.
All the adventures of their scam are filmed, from the call for help to the ambulance ride to the seaside town of Riccione in Emilia-Romagna (Northeast).
Their journey ends in the emergency room, which they naturally leave after a few minutes, according to the ANSA agency.
The two youths, aged 19 and 20, were identified by the Riccione gendarmes thanks to their video. According to the complaint filed by the Health Department of Emilia-Romagna, they are being prosecuted for “disruption of public service” and “false alarm”.
One of the protagonists admitted his mistake to the local newspaper Il resto del carlino: “I’m an idiot, I shouldn’t have done that.”
