How to solve today’s Wordle.

We arrived on the very last day of May. June is knocking on the gates. Pride Month. My birth month. The last month of spring and the first month of summer.
I was trying to remember the mother goose rhyme about the months and how many days each has and had to look it up, but here it is:
September has thirty days
April, June and November.
Everyone else has thirty-one
Except February alone,
And that lasts twenty-eight days
And twenty-nine in every leap year.
The two months of July and August, added to the calendar by Julius and Augustus Caesar, were each given 31 days in honor of their imperial importance. January and February were added hundreds of years earlier and also given 31 days. Before the introduction of these two months, winter was simply a time without months.
I think that’s almost fitting. As if time itself had reached the edge of winter and simply vanished into the freezing wasteland. All things hibernating and in darkness. Then the calendar wakes up again, shakes off its sleep and we start counting the days again.
Okay, let’s make this wordle!
How to solve today’s word
The hint: Nimble, fast.
The hint: This word contains more vowels than consonants.
The answer:

Wordle bot analysis
After completing a Wordle, I always go to the Wordle Bot to see how I did, both in terms of each individual guess and whether or not I outsmarted the bot.
I’m not too happy with my guessing game today, although I had a good guess that saved me. My first dream was more of a nightmare. Well, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I was left with 156 possible words and two yellow boxes.
That’s not the worst. My second guess, Peaks, really wasn’t great and I should have thought a little more carefully before including it. After this there were 47 words left and still only two yellow boxes.
At this point, I realized that just because I had two vowels, I didn’t have all the vowels I needed. I considered guessing alone, but settled on Alien instead, which ended up being my only happy guess and reducing my remaining choices to just one: agile.
Today’s result: Oh! I get 0 points for guessing four, and once again Wordle Bot beat me by only guessing three. That’s a grand total of -1 for the day. Buuuuh!
Present day Wordle etymology
The word “agile” comes from the Latin word “agilis” which means “nimble” or “quick”. It derives from the verb agere, meaning to do or act. The concept of agility has long been associated with physical speed and dexterity.
In the context of software development and project management, the term “agile” appeared in the 20th century. It was first introduced in 2001 with the publication of the “Agile Manifesto,” a document created by a group of software developers who wanted to establish a new approach to software development that emphasized flexibility, collaboration, and responsiveness to change.
The term agile was chosen to reflect the desired qualities of the methodology, which included the ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements, deliver working software incrementally, and foster close collaboration between team members. Since then, the term agile has been widely recognized and adopted in the software development industry, and has also been extended to other areas and industries that value flexibility and adaptability in their processes.
