6000 euros help to return to Spain!

Are you a Cuban descendant of Galicians? Well, you're in luck, because until September you can apply to the Junta de Galicia in the north of Spain for a return plan so that you can return to your ancestral Spanish community with the help of up to 6,000,000 euros per family unit. According to local media, the Junta de Galicia in northern Spain has introduced a new line of economic support for Galician families or families of Galician origin who wish to return to their country. Cuban descendants have the opportunity to participate in this return plan.

The assistance consists of a grant of up to 6,000 euros per family unit that meets the required requirements.

The aim of this measure is to encourage the return of Galicians born in the municipality who went abroad for academic or professional reasons, as well as Galicians who are descendants of Galicians who lived in the great waves of the 20th century or in emigrated in the 1970s.

This will provide them with financial support to cover the costs of their move to Galicia. The goal is also to attract and retain talent or promote entrepreneurship in the community.

Return plan to Galicia for Galicians and descendants: Cubans can apply

The deadline for applying for assistance is September 30th, once published in the Official Gazette of Galicia. The total budget for returned Galician emigrants this year is 2 million euros.

Who can get help returning to Galicia? According to the announcement, this assistance is aimed at Galician emigrants who return in 2024 and meet certain requirements.

The beneficiaries are those born in the Autonomous Community, the spouses of Galicians born in Galicia and the descendants of Galicians born in the region by degree of consanguinity.

Some of the requirements are to have Spanish nationality before returning, to be legally resident abroad for at least two years immediately before the date of return to Galicia, to be registered or to have a residence in a municipality of the Autonomous Community and that Date of return to indicate begins January 1, 2022 (inclusive).

In addition, the returnee must not have sufficient financial resources to receive this financial support of up to 6,000 euros.
