Tough process for Bruce Willis’ mother before being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia

Just days ago, Bruce Willis’ family announced that the actor has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a condition that can include behavioral changes, speech and language problems, and progressive memory loss.

After the harsh news, the interpreter’s family pointed out that it wasn’t easy, but they have focused on giving him the appropriate care. In fact, Marlene, the actor’s mother, gave her harsh testimony upon confronting the illness and seeing her son’s decline.

According to the German newspaper Bild, Marlene emigrated to the United States in 1957 with her son from Idar-Oberstein, Germany. It was there that Bruce Willis began his acting career and had a successful career.

Willis, 67, was diagnosed last year with aphasia, a language disorder that affects a person’s ability to communicate. However, his condition has progressed and a more specific diagnosis has been made: frontotemporal dementia.

The actor’s mother told fellow German actor Wilfried Gliem and his wife Elke, his cousin, that she was very worried.

“Marlene keeps us up to date, we call once a month,” the German actor told the newspaper. Picture.

He added, “She says she’s not sure if her son still recognizes her,” so her pain is evident.

Also, they revealed that his behavior is slow and sometimes prone to aggression, normal symptoms of the disease he suffers from.

On the other hand, Wilfried Gliem admitted to the newspaper that his two daughters and his wife had shown themselves to be strong in the face of the situation and would stand by Bruce Willis.
