Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider has announced the death of his wife Alicia Allain.
Schneider shared the tragic news on his social media late Tuesday, writing, “My beautiful smile is pain free and living in her new body alongside Jesus.”
He also asked for privacy from the public, writing: “Please respect our privacy at this time of grief. Please do not ask any questions. If you have pictures of us and our apparent love and adoration for each other, please post them below. Last but not least… hug the ones you love tightly and let them know how you feel. We have always done that.”
Allain, a producer and executive director, was only 53 years old. The couple married in 2019.

An obituary from the Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine, Louisiana clarified that Allain died at her home on February 21 surrounded by her family.
An additional post from the actor and musician detailed his pain. “This is a time of unimaginable sadness for me. Sadness is too small a word. I’ve heard it said, ‘With great love comes great sorrow.’ I had no idea what that meant until now. Alicia was the fuel that made my biggest dreams work. The inspiration behind every creative thought. The very fabric of my soul. The glue that held me together. I miss her more than words could ever describe.”

Speaking directly to his followers, he added: “Should you see me anywhere on stage or in line at a coffee shop, please don’t ask me how I’m doing. The answer is ‘broken’ and it is currently too difficult for me to fathom and certainly too painful to put into words. She loved you all and spoke of how devoted and loyal you have been all these years and I love you just like her. Bare with me on this rutted and treacherous road that I never dreamed of traveling. Be patient with my unimaginable process.”
Asking his fans to “continue to pray for the strength of me and my beautiful family to get through these most difficult of times,” Schneider concluded his message by thanking the Lord “for sharing the gift of Alicia with me.” , and remarked that he will never be the same.
While a cause of death was not disclosed, both Schneider and Allain have been transparent about Allain’s battle with cancer.
In 2020, Schneider and Allain told Fox & Friends that Allain had been diagnosed with stage 4 HER2-negative cancer.
At the time of her diagnosis, Schneider said his wife was “three years into a five-year shelf life.”
Allain said her symptoms consisted of “aches and aches” that eventually “showed up on the skin.” After getting treatment from a dermatologist, Allain found out about her diagnosis.
“I took a speed class to read what path I was going to take and decided to do keto for cancer, CBD oil and then ground myself in minerals… I really got on a really strict diet,” she explained of the Attacking her illness head-on.
Allain, who achieved remission, showed that her initial PET scan lit up like a Christmas tree.
“The last PET scan shows nada,” Schneider clarified.

Schneider and Allain created their own CBD oil, creatively named “CBoD Oil” in honor of his “Dukes of Hazzard” character, Bo Duke.
At the time, Schneider told Fox & Friends about his oil, “Which I honestly believe, and obviously I’m not a doctor, but I do believe that this is such a natural element that when you ingest it, your body goes, ‘Ahhh. ‘”

In addition to her daughter and granddaughter, Allain leaves behind many other family members.
Allain’s obituary reads: “From Brusly to Hollywood and back, Alicia was an inspirational force, she was kind and generous to everyone she met. She always put herself last. She was very protective of her parents. She was Mama Bear that protected all her cubs. She was a fighter to the end. Alicia will be greatly missed.”
