Ray Liotta’s death is linked to heart and respiratory problems

Ray Liotta’s causes of death have been revealed.

The “Goodfellas” actor died in his sleep in May 2022 at the age of 67 in the Dominican Republic, where he was filming the film “Dangerous Waters”. According to documents obtained by TMZ, authorities in the Dominican Republic determined that heart and respiratory problems were behind the comedian’s death in May 2022.

The “Fields of Dreams” star died of acute heart failure, respiratory failure and pulmonary edema, i.e. fluid buildup in the lungs. He also suffered from atherosclerosis, a thickening or hardening of the arteries caused by plaque buildup.

Ray Liotta’s death was described as natural and non-violent.

The veteran actor was honored posthumously on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in February 2023, with his daughter Karsen unveiling the star on his behalf. In addition to Karsen, he is also survived by his fiancée Jacy Nittolo.
