Miracles for John Farnham as he ‘fully recovered’ from the chest infection that took him to hospital.
John Farnham’s family have given a hopeful update on the legendary Australian singer’s health weeks after he was admitted to hospital.
The 73-year-old was hospitalized in late March as he was battling a chest infection.
The latest health scare came seven months after Farnham underwent major surgery to remove a cancerous growth in his mouth.
The You’re The Voice singer has since made a full recovery from the chest infection and is now “well” as he continues ongoing treatment, while his wife Jill and sons Rob and James thanked the doctors for their care.

“We are pleased to say that at the end of March, John made a full recovery from a recent chest infection that required hospitalization,” read a statement released Monday evening.
“He is doing well now and will continue to be treated and rehabilitated.
“The family would like to express their appreciation and deepest respect for all the medical staff who have cared for John over the last eight months and for the many thousands of kind messages that have been received from across Australia and around the world.”
Farnham underwent a grueling 12-hour operation by 26 surgeons in August to remove a cancerous tumor from his mouth and part of his jaw.
Farnham was in intensive care for more than a week after his operation.
He only discovered he had the cancer in his mouth after his wife insisted on taking him to the doctor for a check-up.
The update comes days after a documentary premiered about Farnham’s life.
