What’s the chicest color for a coronation? Among the guests (not only blue blood) of the ceremony that Charles III. formalized on the British throne, the yellow and pink outfits stand out (here the testimonies of the dresses). These are bold colors that ‘spring’ and bring joy on a rainy day in London. Yellow and pink were chosen by two crowned heads like Rania of Jordan and Letizia of Spain. Above all, however, there are nuances that do not go unnoticed: in fact, they shaped the multicolored wardrobe of Queen Elizabeth, who loved colorful dresses – from fuchsia to acid green – so that her subjects could “be seen well”. In short, what color is best for an occasion as special as King Charles’ coronation? Does yellow versus pink deserve a fashion winner? Here’s who bet on those two colors and what the effect is
A not-too-bright yellow is worn by Joe Biden’s granddaughter Finnegan, 23 (left), who forms a perfect Ukrainian flag alongside her grandmother Jill in blue. Coincidence or a deliberate combination? It seems that the Bidens wanted to send a “pro-Ukraine” message to the whole world in connection with Westminster Abbey (Getty).

Another bright and very elegant yellow is that of Queen Rania of Jordan paired with heels and a white clutch bag. The retro style veil is very beautiful. On the other hand, in the age of reuse, the classic and noble touch of the hat is known (Ap)

Pippa Middleton, the sister of Kate, Princess of Wales, also wore yellow at the coronation, a shade similar to that chosen by Queen Rania. In this case, the dress is accompanied by a wavy fascinator that draws even more attention. As if there was a need (Getty)

Other queens have opted for pink: like Letizia of Spain in the foreground on King Felipe’s arm and Queen Mathilde of Belgium just behind. Two different shades of pink, but always fresh and pleasant. Elizabeth II would have appreciated it (Getty)

A pink fading to wisteria, that of Katy Perry’s look, here as she loses her balance on the wet road. Although the star wasn’t particularly “shining” when it came to her choice of dress, she was the one most asked for by the other guests for selfies (Picture: Getty)
