247 During an award ceremony this Tuesday (23), Russian President Vladimir Putin again stated that in connection with the war in Ukraine, Russia’s only task is to protect its population in the Donbass from attacks through a special military operation initiated by the Ukrainians themselves.
According to Putin, it is wrong that Russia started the war: “For nine years Donbass has been repelling the attack on the people living there. The Russian head of state reiterated that the people of Donbass, even if they are on Ukrainian soil, belong to the Russian people and that their country “will do everything” to protect them: “Part of our people was outside the country because of historical injustice Borders of the Russian state.
