After 14 years away from our screens, Danielle Ouimet gets a role in a TV series – Showbizz.net

The last time we got to see Danielle Ouimet on our big or small screens was in the role of Madame Perrin in Sophie Deraspe’s film Vital Signs.

Most recently, to our delight, she reappeared in the TV series Good Morning Chuck (or the Art of Harm Reduction) (read our review here). She plays Alfreda Godin, the protagonist’s neighbor and grandmother.

Danielle Ouimet did not audition for the role, she was kindly offered. “I was told there were two people who were the producer [Lou Bélanger] What he wanted in his project was me and Yves Corbeil. I guess these are the people he loved when he was younger. I was very glad! exclaims the actress.

“It’s always stressful knowing who we’re going to work with,” she continues. “It has to be said that director Jean-François Rivard put my mind at ease immediately, he is an absolutely stunning man. I had no problems from day one. And Nicholas Pinson [interprète du protagoniste, NDLR], it’s a love! »

“I’m the type of guy who sometimes turns words into lyrics when I find it fits my mouth better and doesn’t get anyone slapping my knuckles.” They were so enveloping it was a joy to do,” confides look at us.

After speaking with the actress, the production team also made some adjustments to the character.

“They decided that I should draw the scene,” Danielle Ouimet tells us. “I told them I painted for a living, so they made my character a painter. And then we took the real canvases that I personally make and put them in the background. »

“It’s a great respect for comedians to admit that there’s more that can be done and that nobody minds. »

The first two episodes of Good Morning Chuck (or the Art of Harm Reduction) are available now on Crave.
