Police officers from the Mauricie Regional Mixed Task Force (ERM) conducted a full-scale crackdown on drug trafficking, particularly methamphetamine, in 13 Quebec cities, including Laval.
Laval residents Hau Lu, 34, Jonathan Slicer, 38, and Geneviève Parenteau, 40, were arrested during this major police operation on Tuesday morning, June 27th.
On the island of Jesus, police also raided a mini-camp and confiscated 215,000 methamphetamine tablets.
Arrests and Appearance
The ERM Mauricie also scored in Montreal, Gatineau, Trois-Rivières, Saguenay, Saint-Jérôme, Shawinigan, Longueuil, McMasterville, Terrebonne, Cleveland, Sainte-Cécile-de-Whitton and Lavaltrie.
In all, police arrested 17 people in connection with the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine on a large scale in several regions of Quebec.
Those arrested are 15 men aged between 26 and 72 and two women aged between 40 and 55.
These suspects were arrested for possession of narcotics, possession for trafficking, human trafficking, manufacturing, concealment, conspiracy, gangsterism, and possibly possession of weapons.
The trio from Lavallois appeared at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse on Tuesday, June 27, accompanied by four other suspects: Dominic Labelle, 35, from Saint-Jérôme; Jean-Pierre Moroni, 65, of McMasterville; Pierre-Luc Lapointe, 42, from Brossard; and Michael Larrivee, 39, of Champlain.
Elsewhere in the province
They are a quintet of Trifluviens who performed at their parish courthouse, namely Tommy Roberge, 33 years old; Jean Daudelin, 60; Real Paradise, 72; Nancy Lefebvre, 55; and Guy Paradis, whose age was not given.
The other suspects arrested are Marcel Arsenault, 59, of Cleveland, who appeared at Sherbrooke; André Nadeau, 48, from Sainte-Cécile-de-Whittom, who appeared in court at Lac Mégantic; Marc-Antoine Tremblay, 26, from Jonquière, who presented himself to the judge in Saguenay; Alain Vallières, 42, who appeared at the Gatineau courthouse, where he lives; then finally Yannick Raymond, 33, from Lavaltrie, the latter had already performed in Joliette on June 22nd.

It should be noted that searches conducted as part of this investigation resulted in the seizure of more than 1,000,000 methamphetamine tablets; 80 kilos of methamphetamine, ready-to-pill; 8.6 kilograms of pure methamphetamine; 2 kilos of cocaine; 1kg MDMA; and 2200 ecstasy tablets.
In addition, the police got their hands on 212 kilos of various products used in the manufacture of these drugs.
In addition, more than $163,000 in Canadian currency was seized; 9 firearms, including 8 handguns; Production equipment including 2 presses, 6 mixers, 178 punches, furnaces and mills.
The police also seized two houses (Sainte-Sophie and Saint-Eustache) and 10 vehicles as property related to the offence.
