In Terrebonne for the 350th anniversary
With five years of experience at illumi: La féérie de lumière in Laval, the designer was approached by the city of Terrebonne, which is celebrating its 350th anniversary this year. For the occasion, he has come up with a whole new path, this time more oriented towards contemplation, gentleness and poetry.
“It’s a multidimensional, multilevel event,” explains Normand Latourelle. The flower field consists of 100,000 bright flowers. There is a glowing choreography and 600,000 diodes on the floor (blue or green lights that are also programmable). All on a lot covering about three quarters of Lafontaine Park’s area.
Two hundred giant flowers – also bright and colorful – will be the “Giant Paradise” and the “Tunnel of Love” (a blooming tunnel with 100,000 LED lights) will be the perfect spot for a selfie. romantic.

Finally, the tiered area, seating 2,000, allows visitors to admire the entire multimedia work, from headphones to ears. During this 18-minute presentation, the music adapts to the choreographed show. It is the voice of poet Raôul Duguay (and singer Jim Corcoran in the English version) that will tell the story of creation. Projections will also be seen on a 15 meter high and 45 meter wide screen placed on a body of water.
A piece composed by Paul McCartney and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra will even make the ears tremble of visitors, who can plan between 30 and 60 minutes for the walking tour.
“We are here to surprise,” the founder continues. Our creations are at the service of pleasure and emotions. Our goal is for people to be touched and feel good. We all need beauty and positivity. And the music is great.”
