Luc Picard becomes President of‘Honorary Member and President of the Jury for the 15th edition of the Percé International Film and Art Festival, Les Percéides, next August.
The actor-director will give a film lesson at sea on August 19 during the Ciné-Croisière des Festivals, while a screening of L’audition will be followed by a master class.
After graduating from the Montreal Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in 1988, Luc Picard was notable for his roles as François Pelletier in Omertà, Noum in the historical series L’ombre de l’épervier (1999) and that of the legendary trade unionist Michel Chartrand in the Chartrand and Simonne series (2003). Equally remarkable are his appearances in the cinema, in major films such as “15. February 1839, October, 8:17 p.m., rue Darling”, “The Collector” and “A Sunday in Kigali”.
Behind the camera, Luc Picard has directed L’audition (2005), Babine (2008), Ésimésac (2012) and Confessions (2022), among others.
This year the jury consists of writer-director Pol Pelletier, producer-director Bruno Cobral and cinematographer Julien Leblanc.
The Les Percéides festival takes place in Percé from August 15th to 20th. The program and the official selection will be announced on the event’s website on July 25 at 11 am.
