It has been revealed that James’ Los Angeles mansion has been sold to the daughter of a Hong Kong private equity billionaire for $17.1 million – $5 million less than he wanted.
James presents the keys to LeeAnn Akouri-Shan, daughter of Weijian Shan, 69.
James first listed his home for $22 million in the fall, a whopping $12 million more than when he bought it from Modern Family co-creator Steve Levitan in 2017.
The comedian later lowered the price to $18 million and, according to The Real Deal, quickly caught the attention of Akouri-Shan, who made a cash offer.
Located in upscale Brentwood, the 8,600-square-foot property features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and sits on nearly an acre.
After purchasing the property from Levitan, the comedian and her wife, Julia Corden — an interior designer — undertook extensive renovations.

The reboot has been drawn out and reportedly incredibly expensive for the couple, who are now expected to return to their native UK after Corden ended his stint as hosts of the CBS late-night show.
The couple have been married since 2012 and have three children together.
What’s more, the Cordens will have to give up an even larger chunk of profits thanks to the new Los Angeles mansion tax, which puts a 5.5 percent levy on sellers on sales over $10 million.
Described as “traditional New England,” Akouri-Shan’s new home offers many amenities for a private but lavish lifestyle.

The house is behind gates and remains secluded thanks to a hedge in front of the house.
Inside the sprawling 8,600 square foot residence there is a living room with a fireplace, an eat-in kitchen with marble countertops and a library.
For film fans there is also a 20-seat cinema in the building.
