Former President Donald Trump ridiculed the White House’s revelation that the investigation into how the West Wing cocaine discovery came about should be closed due to “lack of evidence”.
Speaking at Turning Point Action in Florida on Saturday night, the 2024 Republican presidential nominee showered cold water on claims that there were no cameras that could have observed the perpetrator who owned the drugs.
“The White House just announced that it has closed its investigation into the West Wing cocaine scandal, which lasted only a few days,” Trump began, recounting the news.
“Remember, they have cocaine in the White House. They have more cameras than any other building in the world. It is opposite the war room. “I know it well,” Trump continued.
“It’s probably the most important room in the world.” That’s where the war will be decided, that’s where nuclear power will be decided, that’s where everything will be decided. They said they had no cameras. The hell they didn’t!’
Trump conveyed his skepticism to loyal Republicans listening to his speech on Saturday night that despite facial recognition cameras, guest book logs and security measures in the western world’s best-protected building, the investigation has now been closed.

Furious Republicans said the Secret Service is closing the White House cocaine investigation with no suspects — and without a narrowed list of 500 people who may be responsible

“They say they don’t have tapes. That’s a big deal, the cocaine. It could have been other things too. It could have been a dangerous weapon, a bioweapon. “They finished it in just a few days,” Trump said during his address at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.
Last week, in a widespread social media post, Trump hinted that the illegal substance actually belonged to the president’s addicted son, Hunter.
The former president also hinted that the drugs could potentially belong to Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith, who is leading the probe into Trump’s handling of classified documents.
“Does anyone really believe that the COCAINE found in the West Wing of the White House, very close to the Oval Office, is intended for anyone other than Hunter and Joe Biden,” Trump said in his post on the incident.
He added: “But be careful, the fake news media will soon say that the amount found was ‘very small’ and that it wasn’t really COCAINE but ground aspirin and the story will go away. “

Angry Republicans called the shutdown of the investigation “ridiculous” and accused the Biden administration of a “cover-up” in which agents failed to find a suspect despite more than a week of intensively sifting through surveillance footage.
Republican Rep. Tim Burchett said officials “just decided it was just a weekend visitor” and called the entire investigation “another cover-up” by the Biden White House.
“It’s bogus,” added the Tennessee congressman. “It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”
His comments came after the Secret Service briefed members of Congress 11 days after the cocaine find forced an evacuation and the White House was in peril.
The list of suspects was narrowed down to 500. Democrats said drug testing would violate their “civil liberties” on all potential offenders and insisted the cocaine was found in an area used by guests, not members of the Biden family or anyone with security clearance.
Since July 2, the Secret Service has been combing through surveillance footage from cameras located throughout the White House, but has still not been able to find a perpetrator.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden has avoided the latest White House scandal by fleeing to Europe for meetings with foreign leaders.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said Secret Service officials told lawmakers during Thursday’s briefing that they had narrowed the list of suspected perpetrators to about 500 people.
“Did you drug test this list of 500 potential suspects who brought an illegal substance — the drug cocaine — into the White House?” Greene told reporters after the briefing. “Their answer was no and they are not ready for that.”
With no direct responses to the cocaine find from the USSS or the Biden administration, and having nearly two weeks to investigate the matter, congressmen requested briefings.
Trump-era CBP director and longtime FBI agent Mark Morgan told last week that the case was “straightforward” and could be resolved within 30 minutes.
Morgan and Rep. Burchett separately noted that there are cameras with facial recognition technology everywhere that could provide answers as to who brought the cocaine into the White House.
Republican congressmen are unlikely to be satisfied with the USSS dropping the investigation without finding out who is responsible for importing the illicit drug into the West Wing.
“I just got out of the most ridiculous meeting I’ve ever had with the Secret Service about the cocaine found in the White House,” Rep. Burchett said in video he recorded as he walked through Congress after Thursday’s briefing.
“It turns out they don’t know who did it,” he said. “The investigation will be completed by the end of the week and they will not find out who did it.” And that’s basically all.’
“Another cover-up,” lawmakers added. “You know, it’s the safest building in the world… Nobody, not even the press, goes in there without them noticing.”
He called the result a “bad look at the Secret Service and a terrible look at this White House.”
The Secret Service said it would drop the investigation without finding out who brought the cocaine into the White House
Following the briefing, a full statement from the USSS was released Thursday, providing a detailed overview of what the agency has done to investigate the matter.
But it ended up being dropped without finding out who brought the cocaine into the White House.
“No surveillance video footage was found that provided investigative leads or other means for investigators to determine who might have dumped the found substance in this area,” the statement said.
“Without physical evidence, the investigation will not be able to single out one person of interest from the hundreds of people who walked through the antechamber where the cocaine was discovered.”
The statement ended with, “At this time, the Secret Service investigation is closed due to a lack of physical evidence.”
