Australia Zoo matriarch Terri Irwin hugs her son Robert and his girlfriend Rorie Buckey as they fly to Melbourne for a family day out
Robert Irwin’s new girlfriend, Rorie Buckey, reportedly had to convince his family that he was willing to get out into nature.
And it seems Robert’s mother, Terri Irwin, was impressed with her efforts and is welcoming her with open arms.
On Friday, the Irwin matriarch, 59, hugged her son and his girlfriend as they flew to Melbourne.
The trio carried their belongings as they walked through the airport after disembarking from the plane.
Terri appears to be very close to her son’s new friend, as the three were spotted in the terminal embracing lovingly.

They all dressed up as Rorie, the niece of the late Heath Ledger, looking stylish in an all-black ensemble.
She wore black baggy jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt and white sneakers.
The physiotherapy student wore her shoulder-length blonde locks loosely curled and carried a straw hat and black shoulder bag.

Although Terri has only recently made their relationship public, she appears to be very close to her son’s new girlfriend, as the three were spotted hugging in the terminal
Robert and Rorie exposed themselves outside the airport, but were careful to protect themselves once inside
They were all masked as they walked through the airport
Despite being off duty, Robert looked every bit the Australia Zoo worker as he wore a monochrome khaki look.
He strutted through the terminal in khaki straight-leg jeans and a polo shirt, with a matching jacket.
Meanwhile, Terri looked cool but comfortable for the short-haul flight as she dressed in jeans, a maroon shirt and a long black coat.
The trio looked happy as they walked to a waiting car.
While Robert and Rorie only recently went public with their relationship, they have been together since November 2022.

This is despite living on opposite sides of the country, with Robert in Queensland and Rorie in Western Australia, where she studies at the renowned Curtin University in Perth.
They both come from famous Australian families as Robert is the son of the late conservationist Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin while Rorie is the niece of the late Oscar-winning actor Heath Ledger.
According to Woman’s Day, an insider said Terri and Robert’s sister Bindi, 25, were impressed by Rorie’s commitment to Australian wildlife.
They added that Rorie was “determined not to let Robert down and to show him – and his mother and sister – that she wasn’t just some jerk.” And she blew her mind.’
