Rosalie Vaillancourt recently caused a surprise when she was among the first three contestants announced for the second season of Get Me Out of Here.
In fact, we didn’t necessarily expect the comedian and actress to be here, but that’s where we’ll see her this winter.
On the Gémeaux red carpet, where she ultimately won the “Best Comedy” award for Complètement lycée (see our photos of the winners below), Rosalie was kind enough to tell us about her experience in the jungle, which was a real surprise for she.
“I like holiday camps and I said to myself, this is a holiday camp where I get paid,” she says with amusement. “I was watching last year and I said to myself, ‘It’s easy, it’s fireside discussions with a few cockroaches.’ I’m not afraid of insects. »
Apparently the artist’s perceptions changed quite quickly once he was on site:
I was insecure from day one. I really hit a wall, I thought it would be easy. This year the difficulty levels have really been increased. When we got home we thought we knew what we had gotten into, but we quickly asked ourselves, “What trouble did I get into?” I honestly said to myself, this is the worst idea in the world I’ve had. But at the same time I still had fun. Plus, I really felt like I was thinking about myself. I didn’t take care of the baby. I was in another universe. It was good for me to think about myself a little.
“I developed new fears,” she told us with a laugh. “When I go to the toilet now, I always look in the bowl before I sit down,” she adds, giving us just a glimpse of what might have happened to cause her to develop this fear.
Seriously, the comedian tells us that she wouldn’t try her luck a second time: “Never in her life!” That’s enough! I did it, I know I can do it. If someone does it again, it’s because they didn’t succeed the first time. I think I got what I wanted. »
How will we discover Rosalie Vaillancourt in a new light in this reality show? The main interested party tells us:
People will see that I’m really sensitive. There are people who think that it’s not me because I’m always doing stupid things, but that’s true. I’m also afraid that people will think I’m not afraid of anything. You will see that I am sometimes insecure. And sometimes I’m a little disgusted (laughs).
Her partner Olivier Auger adds: “Your boyfriend is really a good father (laughs),” to which the comedian agrees without hesitation.
