First slowdown in the growth of Covid infections in the Cremona region, where the incidence is 83.73 per hundred thousand inhabitants, a slight decrease compared to the previous week. The figures appear on the indicators dashboard developed by Ats Val Padana, which takes into account the data from September 22nd. There have been 298 positive cases this week (344 last week). The daily trend is around 45 cases, but fortunately there are no serious situations, apart from some rare pulmonary complications that affect the most frail people.
The predominant variant so far is Eris, which has similar symptoms to previous Omicron variants. Fortunately, although it is more contagious than others, it is not more dangerous.
However, the vaccine is still recommended for frail people. In this regard, at the request of the Ministry of Health, the first million doses will arrive earlier than planned on September 25th. Pharmacies and general practitioners will be on track for administration. The first tranche of vaccination is primarily intended for the elderly (over 80 years of age and older), as well as RSA guests and super-frail patients. Pound
