Ms. Pinkett Smith and Will Smith married in 1997.
Jada Pinkett Smith recently announced that she and her husband Will Smith have been separated since 2016. She added that they were living “totally separate lives” and didn’t announce this sooner because they were “not ready yet.” She claimed they were “exhausted from trying” when they parted ways. However, the couple does not intend to divorce. Now the American actor has responded by posting a video of himself falling asleep on a boat while his phone buzzed with notifications signaling he was unplugged.
In the video posted on Instagram, the “King Richard” actor can be seen falling asleep in the cabin of a boat, with text superimposed that reads: “Fun fact about me: I can take a nap almost anywhere.” Continuing in the video he stands up, sits upright and shakes his head at the camera. He then leans over the deck and watches the waves as the boat rides. “Yeah, that’s pretty hot,” says Mr. Smith as he talks about the view.
“Notifications off :),” the actor wrote in his caption.
Since his post was shared, it has garnered around four thousand likes and seven million views.
Jada Pinkett Smith responded to the post with two laughing emojis.
American writer Mark Manson wrote: “This is true. I witnessed it. The guy sleeps anywhere in the blink of an eye.”
Ms. Pinkett Smith and Will Smith married in 1997 and have two children together, 24-year-old son Jaden Smith and 21-year-old daughter Willow Smith.
In an interview, the actress also revealed that Chris Rock had asked her out at some point. He thought we were getting a divorce. So he called me and basically said, “I’d like to take you out.” And I said, “What do you mean?” He said, ‘Well, aren’t you and Will getting divorced?’ I thought, “No. Chris, these are just rumors.” He was horrified. And he apologized profusely and that was it,” she told People Magazine.
The interview took place ahead of the release of Ms. Pinkett Smith’s upcoming memoir, “Worthy,” out October 17.
