“Curb Your Enthusiasm” Season 12 premieres in February 2024 – Variety

Finally, season 12 of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” will premiere in February 2024, HBO boss Casey Bloys announced at a press event on Thursday.

“Last night I was thinking that ‘Curb’ has been on the air for 12 seasons over 20 years or something like that, and that it’s a highlight wherever it ends up,” Bloys said. The 11th season of the Larry David comedy series premiered on October 24, 2021, the previous season aired in winter 2020.

Bloys told members of the media that press screenings would be available in the next few weeks.

While rumors swirled earlier this year that “Curb” season 12 would be its last, Bloys said the network has made no such decisions.

“Generally we leave it up to Larry, and I think he thinks about what he wants to do,” Bloys said. “He knows it was kind of an open invitation, so I think he will decide whether he wants to continue or make this the last season. I would guess he will make a decision before it airs.”

As production on Season 12 wrapped in March, several of the show’s producers hinted on Twitter that they had filmed the “final scene of the final episode of the final season.” But David has long treated each season of “Curb” like the last, with executive producer Jeff Schaffer telling IndieWire last year that he “brings any idea that he really likes.” [each] Season. So at the end of the season there’s this gap – there are no ideas that he really likes – so how could he possibly do another season? He’s the only person on the planet who doesn’t think he’s going to come up with more good ideas.” In fact, Schaffer said that the final episode of Season 11 was “designed to be a…” [series] Final. …We shot it like it was the last one ever.”

A source told Variety that David’s current contract with HBO expires in 2023, meaning David would have to sign a new deal with the network to make a 13th season.

Curb Your Enthusiasm stars David as a fictionalized version of himself, JB Smoove, Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, Richard Lewis and a rotating cast of A-list guest stars.
