An Israeli-American woman who defended a kibbutz against Hamas’ Oct. 7 terrorist attack was stabbed to death by a 16-year-old on Monday.

Sergeant. Elisheva Rose Ida Lubin, 20, of Georgia, was patrolling the Old City of Jerusalem with two other officers when she was attacked by the teenage assailant, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Lubin was critically injured in the attack and later died from her injuries.

A second officer suffered minor injuries while a third fought off the teenage attacker, who Israeli police said was a 16-year-old Palestinian from Sa’ir in East Jerusalem.

The next day, Israeli forces hunted down the teenage “terrorist” in a raid on a refugee camp, sparking clashes between soldiers and local Palestinians.

“The mapping was carried out in preparation for the demolition of the house of the terrorist who carried out the knife attack in Jerusalem yesterday.” said the IDF on X.

“During the operation, suspects threw stones and Molotov cocktails at the emergency services, who then fired and injuries were noted.”

According to the Israeli press, the slasher was shot dead by other border police.

During the night, the IDF reportedly arrested 28 wanted people, including 11 with ties to Hamas, and destroyed a weapons cache “containing gas cylinders and other materials intended for the manufacture of explosives.”

According to the Atlanta Jewish Times, Lubin lived in Dunwoody, a northern suburb of Atlanta.

She immigrated to Israel from the United States in August 2021 and joined the Israel Border Police in March 2022 as part of her military service.

The 16-year-old attacker attacked Lubin and a second officer, who was only slightly injured.

Lubin was described as a “lone soldier,” meaning she lived in Israel without her family.

She lived in Kibbutz Sa’ad in southern Israel, one of several sites targeted by Hamas in its surprise attack last month.

The final video allegedly recorded by Lubin shows her waving at the camera and smiling while telling her family she loves them.

“Marty, the girls and I are heartbroken by the tragic news of Rose Lubin’s death.” Georgia Governor Brian Kemp said.

“Her courage and commitment to fighting evil is an inspiration to us all, and we will continue to keep her family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

About 340 of the 1,400 deaths reported by Israel since Hamas’ first cross-border incursion are soldiers.

According to Hamas officials, the Palestinian death toll has exceeded 10,000, including many women and children.
