A 14yearold girl opened fire this Thursday (7) at a school in the southwest of RussiaHe killed a colleague and injured five other people before committing suicide, local authorities reported.
“A 14yearold girl took a shotgun to school with which she shot at her classmates. Two people died one of them the shooter and five were injured,” the investigative committee said in a statement.
Authorities did not identify the shooter, but reported that the young woman killed was a classmate at a high school on the outskirts of the city of Briansk in the state of the same name.
“The motivation for the crime and all the circumstances are being investigated,” emphasized the committee, which investigates serious crimes.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.

Bryansk Governor Alexander Bogomaz said the five were students at the school.
The attack occurred at School No. 5 in Bryansk, a city near the border with Ukraine that is occasionally the target of bombings and drone strikes from Kiev.
Once considered rare, fatal shootings in Russia have become relatively common in recent years.
In September last year A gunman killed 18 people at a school in the city of Izhevskin the west of the country.
In 2021, A 19yearold gunman killed nine people at a school in the city of Kazanin the southwest.
In the same year, A teenager shot and killed six people at a university in the city of Permnear the Ural Mountains.
