Baby found alive in tree after being swept away by tornado

The story is hard to believe. In the United States, a baby was swept away by a tornado… before being found safe and sound in the hollow of a tree. Explanations.

It happened in Tennessee. In an article published on December 16, 2023, the BBC explains that the four-month-old child was sleeping in his crib aboard a motorhome when the tornado hit.

Under the force of the phenomenon, the roof of the mobile home was torn off and, as the child's mother recounts, “the tip of the tornado came down and lifted the cradle in which my baby, sir, was.” That's the first thing disappeared.”

While the baby's mother protected her other child, the father tried to catch the baby but in vain. He too was swept away by the tornado…

After this tornado passed, the two parents immediately went looking for their baby. “I was pretty sure he was dead and we wouldn’t find him,” his mother admits. And there the little missing person is miraculously found alive, in a tree that was also affected by the tornado!

The child's aunt testified:

“It seemed like it had been carefully placed on the tree, as if an angel had guided it safely to that place.”

The result: a broken arm and shoulder for the father and only a few scratches for the rest of the family.

An online fundraising campaign has been launched to help the family relocate. It reached €91,000.
