Elon Musk praised Argentina's new populist president with a raunchy meme on his X social media account.

Musk posted a non-work-appropriate image on Thursday showing a naked couple having sex – with the man looking at a computer screen while the woman writhes on it.

On the laptop on his chest is a recording of Argentine President Javier Milei's much-discussed speech on Wednesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“So hot rn,” Musk wrote in the caption. The letters “rn” stand for “right now”.

The meme is intended to convey the impression that Milei's speech was so stimulating that it can act as an aphrodisiac.

In his remarks, Milei warned that the Western world must embrace capitalism.

“Today I am here to tell you that the Western world is in danger,” Milei said in a special address in the Swiss resort on Wednesday.

“And it is in danger because those who are supposed to defend the values of the West are being captured by a world vision that leads inexorably to socialism and thus poverty.”

Milei, the 53-year-old self-described anarcho-capitalist who was elected in November, addressed the dangers of “collectivist experiments,” which he called the “root cause” of the problems affecting much of the world.

“Socialism is a phenomenon that creates poverty,” he said, adding that “free enterprise capitalism is the only means we have to end hunger and poverty.”

Musk, the owner of the website formerly known as Twitter, called the speech a “good explanation of what makes countries more or less wealthy.”

Milei, who has drawn comparisons to former President Donald Trump, made his first foreign trip as president to Davos.

To burnish his reputation as an anti-establishment populist, he took selfies with passengers on board a commercial flight to Switzerland.

At home, he is struggling to resolve Argentina's worst economic crisis in decades with an austerity package that he hopes can curb annual inflation above 200%, build up red-currency reserves now and lure back investment.

While he moderated after a brash campaign in which he often wielded a chainsaw to express his plans to shrink the state, Milei stuck to some of his more extreme promises, including plans to eventually close the central bank.
