On the second day of the Texas trial of former ice hockey player Mike Ribeiro, who is accused of sexual assault, two of the Quebec man's three alleged victims provided more details about the June 2021 incidents.
One of them described her first meeting with Ribeiro in a Franklin County courtroom on Wednesday. This happened at a restaurant near the residence of the former Montreal Canadiens colorman, near Lake Cypress Springs.

According to the station KLTV, the woman wanted to buy Ribeiro's house and exchanged numbers on the evening of June 22nd. The 43-year-old man allegedly tried to seduce the alleged victim, who said she felt uncomfortable.
Another day on a boat on the lake, Ribeiro allegedly put his arm around her waist. She would have liked to react, but didn't, she admitted. While she was driving, the retired athlete allegedly sexually assaulted her while she told him to stop.
Shortly afterward, the other alleged victim who came forward Wednesday described trying to get closer to Ribeiro while riding a jet ski with another woman, the third alleged victim. They would not have been warned about the person's actions by the first alleged victim.
KLTV reported Tuesday that the third woman allegedly elbowed the man when he touched her inappropriately on the jet ski. Contrary to the defense's claims, the two alleged victims quickly discussed the incident.
Anyone who has played more than 1,000 games in the National Hockey League faces a maximum sentence of 20 years for sexual assault and 10 years for attempted sexual assault.
