NHL: The Bruins return to victory

In their second game in as many days, the Boston Bruins defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-2 in overtime at the Canadian Tire Center on Thursday.

As a reminder, Jim Montgomery's team lost 3-2 to the Hurricanes in Carolina on Wednesday.

In Ottawa, it was Brad Marchand who gave the visitors the win, beating goaltender Joonas Korpisalo with a wrist shot. However, the club with number 63 didn't make it easy for itself because it allowed the Senators to get back into the game.

David Pastrnak scored first on the power play in the final moments of the first period, then Trent Frederic doubled his team's lead with 11:41 left in the second period. Thanks to this success, the latter now has six points in their last six games.

On the Ottawa side, Thomas Chabot was the focal point of his team's comeback. First he halved the deficit to Boston before being involved in Vladimir Tarasenko's equalizer in the final minutes of the third period.

The Bruins face the Flyers on Saturday in Philadelphia. Jacques Martin's men, for their part, host the New York Rangers on the same day.
