The Los Angeles Chargers have found their new head coach.
On Wednesday, ESPN learned that the NFL club has hired Jim Harbaugh. So it's a return to the Goodell scene for the man who just won the NCAA national championship at the helm of the University of Michigan Wolverines.

The 60-year-old was the starting coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014, compiling a record of 49-22-1. He left his position with the California team to join the Wolverines, becoming the first head coach in history to leave an NFL team for a college-educated job.
Harbaugh worked as a quarterback for the Chicago Bears (1987-1993), the Indianapolis Colts (1994-1997), the Baltimore Ravens (1998), the San Diego Chargers (1999-2000), the Lions of Detroit (2001) and the Carolina Panthers (2001).
The Ohio native then made the leap to coach the Pivots with the Oakland Raiders (2002-2003) before becoming head coach of the University of San Diego (2004-2006) and Stanford University (2007-2010) football programs .
In the NCAA, Harbaugh was 144-52.
On December 15, one day after a humiliating 63-21 loss, the Chargers fired head coach Brandon Staley. General manager Tom Telesco is also in trouble. The Los Angeles club finished its 2023 season with a 5-12 record and finished in last place in the American West section.
