“It's overwhelming to see that the songs on this album still resonate with so many of you even though I haven't been out there promoting it or touring, it means a lot to me.”

“That brings me to the reason for this damn letter I’m writing.” . . “Before I decided to go away for a bit, I had always hoped to release an expanded version at some point!”

He then revealed that the extended album would be released on New Year's Day, and while many watched the fireworks as the clocks struck midnight, Lewis' superfans were able to refresh their streaming platforms to enjoy the new release.

The hitmaker also shared an update on his mental health journey in the post.

He said his time off was going “great” and he had seen “significant improvement” in both his Tourette syndrome and his anxiety.

Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by a combination of involuntary sounds and movements called tics.

These symptoms affected Lewis' performance at Glastonbury 2023, as the crowd helped the tearful artist with his song “Someone You Loved.”

However, he clarified that now is not the time to return from time off, saying: “For now I'm going to continue to take some time to look after myself, maybe write some music and take a moment to Some of the most incredible years of my life.

“I want to be absolutely sure that I’m at 100 percent before I go back out there to play more shows and do what I love more than anything.”

“I hope this is a good time until one day we can get together in a room and sing them together.”
