An offensive celebration for the stars

The Dallas Stars humiliated the Nashville Predators 9-2 on Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena.

It was Wyatt Johnston who was the top scorer for the winners in this one-sided duel. The 20-year-old scored two goals and provided two assists for four points. It was a first in the second-year player's National League career.

Ty Dellandrea and Tyler Seguin also performed very well with a goal and two assists each. Other scorers included Matt Duchesne (twice), Sam Steel, Miro Heiskanen and Craig Smith.

Only seven of the star skaters did not collect a point in this duel.

Perry is the first with a loss

At the Enterprise Center, Corey Perry scored his first goal in an Oilers jersey, but the Edmonton club lost 6-3 to the St. Louis Blues.

The former Montreal Canadiens hit the mark in the third period. Connor McDavid collected his third assist of the game on this goal, he was also an accomplice in the nets of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Leon Draisaitl.

For the Blues, Jake Neighbors, Robert Thomas, Pavel Buchnevich, Torey Krug and Jordan Kyrou beat goalkeeper Stuart Skinner. Brandon Saad finished the goal in an empty net.
