An Australian Taylor Swift fan has sparked a heated debate on social media with a controversial opinion that has divided the Swiftie community.
A Melbourne resident took to X, formerly known as Twitter, this week to voice his opinion on ticket sales for the pop superstar's concerts, which have seen phenomenal demand across the country.
After tickets for the final release became available just days before their performances, the user suggested a controversial system aimed at fairness.
“I'll probably take so much hate for this. “But I think you should only see Taylor Swift in Australia once,” the user wrote, sparking a heated exchange among fans.
“After being there last night, I saw about ten people there again this evening. “Would give the other people who missed out a better chance,” he continued.

Swift's decision to add two additional shows to the Australian leg of her tour did little to dampen the excitement, as over a million fans bombarded the Ticketek website vying for a piece of the 450,000 ticket pie.
With many fans left empty-handed, the sight of some attendees bragging about securing multiple tickets to the show only added more salt to the wound.
“I agree… because I tried everything in my power to get tickets but was unsuccessful and I know some people go to all the shows in Melbourne and Sydney, I'm really devastated that I'm not going could,” one disappointed fan replied to the user Post.

Another echoed: “I completely agree with you.” After trying everything to get tickets for my daughter, it's disappointing to hear stories about people going to every single show and not the flexibility that you think. I don't know how you control that.'
Amid the chorus of approval, some strongly rejected the user's suggestion.
'NO. “I was there last night and if I go to Sydney you sleep you lose,” declared one defiant fan.
Others pointed to the logistical challenges of enforcing such a restriction.
“There's no way to police it.” Don't direct your frustration at other fans, blame it on the fact they only did seven shows in Australia. “Not nearly enough to meet demand,” argued another fan.
