On certain occasions during a season, ice hockey teams organize, in addition to scheduled games, events on a specific theme, some of which have originality. However, as the Adirondack Thunder proved on Saturday, the end result is sometimes in doubt.
During the Trois-Rivières Lions' visit to the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls, New York, on Saturday, the local organization wanted to add a rural touch to the meeting. Therefore, supporters were asked to present themselves in the clothing most relevant to the respective initiative. However, the players from the local team were not left out. They played the game against the club affiliated with the Montreal Canadiens and Laval Rocket, with the uniforms reminiscent of the prevailing theme of the day.
All Thunder skaters wore sweaters with red and white checked lumberjack shirts, as well as pants in a blue color identical to denim jeans. However, the rather strange clothing of the crowd favorites seemed to inspire them and they won 3-0.
