Quebec's National Assembly honored the University of Montreal Carabins on Tuesday.
Parliamentarians highlighted the football team's triumph at the Vanier Cup on November 25. The Blues became Canadian champions by defeating the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds 16-9.

This was the second Vanier Cup coronation in the history of the Carabins, who first lifted the precious trophy in 2014.

In 2023, the Carabins finished first in the Quebec Student Sports Network rankings with a 7-1 regular season record. UdeM then defeated Laval University Rouge et Or in the Dunsmore Cup final and defeated the Western University Mustangs in the Canadian semifinals.
