Brandan and Mary Denucciõ are facing scrutiny after appearing to backtrack on their claim that she had colon cancer following her fundraising efforts.
The couple, who star in the reality TV series “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way” and married last year, were forced to shut down their fundraising page on the GoGetFunding platform after admitting that Mary had not been diagnosed , but she had seen symptoms in TikTok videos.
Brandan, 24, posted on Instagram over the weekend about the fundraising page he created to help fund the “removal” surgery [Mary’s] Colon cancer” and “save her life”.
“We need help, not judgment,” he added in the post. On the page, 24-year-old Mary wrote that she was “diagnosed with colon cancer” on Friday after experiencing what she thought were “normal” symptoms on and off since high school.
However, after some began to doubt the claims, the pair clarified that there was no official diagnosis and they were still waiting for results.

Their GoGetFunding page has since been closed, with the message “GoGetFunding has been requested or required to stop this campaign.”
It was initially unclear whether Brandon and Mary's campaign, which raised about $1,300 before it was shut down, was stopped by the company.
But a GoGetFunding representative has since told TMZ that they stopped the campaign after users reported it as suspicious and they felt they had enough evidence to shut it down.
When it comes to donations, there is no clear path for refunds, and the representative suggested that anyone who donated and has since changed their mind needs to dispute the charges with their bank.
However, Brandan and Mary told TMZ that they stopped the campaign due to people's negative comments.
Mary told the publication: “I know I announced I had bowel cancer. “I was just so scared at the time because I was in pain and had all the symptoms. “But we still go back and forth to the hospital and have to do all the lab tests that the doctors ask.”
She also added that she would no longer be posting on the topic.
