Since his return to the game, Connor Bedard has still not been taken off the scoresheet despite the Chicago Blackhawks' poor performance. The young forward gave his all with three points in a 6-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night at PNC Arena.
Bedard scored six points in three games wearing the full face mask he has had to wear since breaking his jaw in early January. It is the second time he has scored three or more points in a game, following his two goals and two assists on November 9 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Although the Hawks managed to defeat the Ottawa Senators on Saturday thanks to the 18-year-old athlete's brilliance, they were unable to recover from a poor start to the game. In the middle of the second period it was 4-0 for the home favorites, thanks in part to Jesperi Kotkaniemi's tenth goal.
Chicago narrowed the deficit thanks to goals from Bedard and Tyler Johnson on the power play and those from Nick Foligno at even strength. Michael Bunting, Martin Necas, Sebastian Aho, Brent Burns and Jordan Martinook (empty net) scored for the Canes.

Quebecer Anthony Beauvillier returned to action after an injury on January 2nd.
Having missed the team's last 18 games, the 26-year-old forward played alongside Jason Dickinson and Joey Anderson, but his impact on the game was limited. He didn't fire a single shot and finished with a difference of -1.
Acquired from the Blackhawks by the Vancouver Canucks on November 28, Beauvillier collected two goals and four assists for six points in 15 games for the Illinois club. He has 14 points, including four goals, in 38 games so far in the 2023-24 season.
