Gal's son leaves the house and says the widow is not an heiress February 22, 2024 Illustrated

Amid the dispute with Gal Costa's widow Wilma Petrillo over the singer's inheritance, the artist's 18yearold son, Gabriel da Costa Penna Burgos, decided to leave the house where he lived with her, in Jardim Europa, west of Sao Paulo. Attorney Luci Viera Nunes, Gabriel's lawyer, also tells the story Sheet that Gal had left a will before adopting her son and that Petrillo knew he would not be among the heirs.

Nunes was hired last month along with Mariana de Athayde Ferreira to question in court the fraction of the inheritance that Petrillo, whom she called “godmother,” claimed. The young man lives alone, says the lawyer, without giving his new address.

According to the lawyer, before adopting Gabriel, Gal left a finished will and that, as stated in the document, all of the artist's assets should be deposited with the Gal Costa Foundation. Petrillo would have signed the document as a witness and knew that he would not inherit anything, says Nunes.

According to the report, the artist's widow could not be located to comment on the case.

At the time of the singer's death in November 2022, Burgos came under the care of Petrillo, who was also appointed executor of the estate and tried in court to recognize the stable connection, the result of his relationship with Gal maintained for almost three decades.

The public prosecutor's office intervened in the legal dispute and expressed its opposition to the recognition of stable unions. Therefore, the former businesswoman submitted a new application for a stable union. If recognized, Petrillo would have 50% of the inheritance rights, which Burgos questions.

On Sunday (18), an audio clip showing a fight between Burgos and Petrillo circulated on the Internet. Gal's son refused to sign a declaration of debt to the record company Biscoito Fino. Kati de Almeida Braga, the owner of the record company, had granted two advances in terms of royalties from the artist's rights, one of them while Gal was still alive.

“Damn, Gabriel, holy shit. You won't sign, why? Why are you in charge of the ball now? You just do shit, you,” the widow said in the recording after hitting the table. “If you don’t sign, we won’t get any money and we’ll starve because I don’t have a cent left.”

Through Biscoito Fino, Gal recorded the albums “Estratosférica Ao Vivo”, from 2017 the studio and live versions of the project “A Pele do Futuro”, and in the following two years the album “Nenhuma Dor” was also released. in 2021.
