On Thursday afternoon (22), a major fire broke out in a 14story residential building in the Campanar district, Valencia, Spain, which was “swallowed” by flames and smoke.
According to El País, the fire destroyed the entire building between Maestro Rodrigo and Poeta Rafael Alberti streets in half an hour. It was probably built in the early 2000s.
The number of victims is not yet known. All that is known is that firefighters tried to rescue residents from balconies and that a field hospital is being set up nearby, with the military emergency unit requested for assistance.
At least seven people have already been transported to hospitals, including two firefighters and a minor.
In the video below you can see the moment of rescue of two of the residents, supposedly father and daughter.
