On the last day of his official visit to the Eastern European country, the president spent more than two hours talking to his compatriots about key measures in areas such as the construction of road, hospital, airport and railway infrastructure.
He also pointed to programs and investments in higher education, agricultural development and other sectors.
According to the Presidency, the expatriates, who came from different parts of the country, “expressed their willingness to help the Angolan government attract investments to the national market, now that political relations between the two states have been resumed.”
The participants of the meeting are trained in fields such as medicine, engineering, political and economic sciences and represent part of the community of graduates, students and workers of various disciplines and professions who have settled in the Czech Republic, many of them since the 1970s .
Lourenço made a two-day official visit during which he spoke with Czech President Petr Pavel; with Prime Minister Petr Fiala signed a memorandum of understanding on political consultations, paving the way for strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.
