Today, Friday February 23rd, is the release day of a new album by CCCP Fedeli Alla Linea, “Altro che Nuovo Nuovo”, which hits stores 34 years after the Emilian band's swansong. the Epica Ethnica Etnica Pathos, which represented something of a turning point for the Italian rock scene. Still, reprints, box sets, and collections have kept the CCCP flame alive during this time.
The return to Berlin
An album released on the eve of three sold-out concerts in Berlin, a return to the city where it all began thanks to the meeting between Massimo Zamboni and Giovanni Lindo Ferretti. Three concerts that aroused the desire for tickets. In a Facebook group set up for the occasion, “CCCP in DDDR – Those who will go there,” posts from desperate fans looking for a ticket or advice on how to spend the hours before the concerts, perhaps visiting at Hansa Studies (someone suggests). Now that there is very little left, There are those who posted the photo of boarding at the airport. Some ask how many Venetians will be there and others ask about the most appropriate clothing for attending the concert. It is precisely from these posts that it is clear that CCCP has become something different, they have taken on the status of an icon to be revered, which one can see perhaps for the first time in life and touch with one's own hands the legends one has heard. Back to the new album: it is the recording of the group's first concert in Reggio Emilia in 1983. A lost tape, found and displayed in the band's history exhibition, open until March 10th.
The tape was found
A cassette that has now become a record, with some gems like the unreleased Oi Oi Oi and Onde, but also a version of Sexy soviet that will become BBB and the cover of Kebab dream of the Teutonic DAF, those, so to speak from The Mussolini. The tracklist also includes some songs that will later see the light of day in Orthodoxy and Comrades, Citizens, Brothers, Partisans. In short, a gem for CCCP fans who have also announced a summer tour. The locations are still shrouded in mystery, but we're sure the rush for tickets will be inevitable when they're revealed. CCCP comes back to life. They're no longer the band that was scary in the mid-80s, When attending one of their concerts meant fearing for your own physical safety, for what you saw on stage and for what was happening around you.
