Colorist and graphic designer Diego do Nascimento Lima, better known as Dijjo Lima, has died at the age of 34. The artist is known for his work for Marvel and DC.

The news of death was confirmed by Ceará’s wife. On his Twitter account, fellow artist Mike Deodato Jr. lamented, “I just found out that this amazing colorist and teacher has passed away. My condolences to his family, friends and students.”

Dijjo Lima was born in Maracanaú, Ceará and has continued to live in the region. He has worked as a colorist on over 100 titles. Carnage, The Amazing SpiderMan, Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who: Ghost Stories are among his major works.

A Ceará native, he was called upon to colorize XDeath Wolverine, one of the key Marvel releases of this year.
