A disgruntled customer blocked a McDonald’s driveway for two hours this morning, only exiting after police arrived.
Stuart Yates, 55, refused to move his car from the drive-through after a standoff over a refund for sausage and egg McMuffins.
He parked his car and in turn blocked all cars behind him to prevent them from passing or leaving at 9.30am in Leyland, Lancashire.
Mr Yates ordered two McMuffins from the breakfast menu for his son and friend and was asked by staff to wait in the parking lot while the meals were prepared.

He claims that when he told staff he had waited over 15 minutes previously, they gave him a cash refund instead of writing it back to the card he paid with.
The driver said: “A girl came out and threw my money and loose change on my car roof and said ‘go away or I’ll call the police’.
Mr Yates said he would wait “all week” for the refund to be written back onto his card if necessary, but after a two-hour wait in transit and a visit from Lancashire Police, he finally drove off.
After the raid, Mr Yates said: “A week ago I had to wait in the car park for over 15 minutes.

“A boy spotted me and said, ‘Oh, it’s him again’ because I complained last time. They said go and wait in the parking lot.* I said, ‘I’m not going anywhere until I have my food.’
“I said ‘I’m not moving, I’m entitled to request a refund on my card’. I said I’m not going anywhere until I get my money back on my card. It’s certainly not a big question.
“They eventually gave me a refund and tried to give me a long letter they had typed but I refused to take it.
“I hadn’t sworn, I hadn’t done anything threatening. I hadn’t broken any laws.’
Employees asked him to wait in the parking lot while the McMuffins were being made, but he said, “A week ago I had to wait in the parking lot for over 15 minutes.”

Mr Yates never received his McMuffins, instead ordering two Big Macs from Uber Eats when he got home.
McDonald’s was contacted but declined to comment, but an employee said: “The other cars managed to reverse but now it’s not moving.
“We asked him to park but he wouldn’t, so now he just sits there. He just wanted a small order. It would have only taken a minute.
“Now he refuses to move, he wouldn’t park, he wouldn’t take the food, he wouldn’t accept a refund. He’s been sitting there for a good 20 minutes now.”
